Holidays...

Hey there everyone....
It has been a long time since the last update. Nana was here for my birthday, and then we got together with mommy's sister nada and her husband tony for thanksgiving - all my other family was in arizona. Mom decided she needed a break from helping me keep this updated and is now feeling a little better since holidays are over and her stress level is less. The weather was so miserable for awhile and nobody was happy being cooped up inside, and then we all got sick in early december, and that didn't help. But after we started feeling better, we really have been having so much fun. We started getting ready for christmas and i was so excited.... we put up our tree (dad was thrilled we bought a prelit fake tree last year) and zac took the ornaments down as fast as we were putting them on. Mom has three shoeboxes of ornaments and after we got the first box on, she said it was enough! It was still beautiful. We put up our stocking and took them down almost everyday to play with them. I tried to put them on and wear them but mom wouldn't let me. Izaac and i got to open our advent calenders everyday - and each door had a piece of chocolate behind it - that was cool. We helped mom mail christmas cards and go shopping. We went to see the festival of lights in louisville (co, not ky) with all my cousins, and then grandma and jiddo came in to town from tucson. We spent time with them and had christmas eve fondue dinner (the day before christmas eve) at their condo with all the ziady cousins and then had christmas eve there too with all the ziady cousins except lara, raja, sammer and tia, since they were at aunty lara's mom and dad's house. A couple nights ago we went with grandma and jiddo to see the zoolights, and izaac rode the carousel for the first time. It has been so fun and so busy and i love it. Mommy says i am a social butterfly because each morning i ask "where are we going today" or "who are we going to see today". But then she still has the hardest time getting me out the door, because i still hate to get dressed. ohwell.
Christmas eve day and christmas day mom felt so blessed because the weather was so great we were playing outside and helping mom and day wash the cars. Mom says she misses tucson christmases.
Tonight is new years eve and i am going to spend the night at grandma's house with all my cousins. Izaac is going to stay home with mom because he still wakes up sometimes at night. Speaking of izaac, he is talking up a storm. He says so many words now. He never really got the hang of signing, but mom says she doesn't care because he can communicate with words. He is so weird for a boy - mom isn't used to a jabbering boy, she is only used to daddy.
well, have fun everyone and happy new year!

I am THREE!

Last wednesday (the 9th) i turned three years old! what a great day. i made cupcakes with mom in the early morning - there is nothing like eating fresh made chocolate cupcakes for breakfast! Then we biked to preschool and back and jumped immediately in to the car to go pick up nana from the airport. We had to park way far away from the airport and take the shuttle, because all the parking lots near the airport were full. So mom and zac and i all piled in to the shuttle, rode it to the airport, then went in and waited for a while till nana arrived. Mom said I was so good and patient. We walked around the airport and played on all the couches and looked out the huge windows. Then i layed on the ground near the escalators where nana would come up and just waited patiently. Mom was so pleased with me. Then we saw nana! she arrived and is going to stay with us for 6 days. I was so excited! We made it home - both zac and i passed out in the car on the way, zac was melting down on the shuttle on the way back to the car. it was a long morning. That evening we went to dave and busters for my birthday dinner - that was the first time any of us had been there - lots of noisy video games, but i did win a necklace -which added to the dress up stuff nana got me for my birthday.

The next day mama worked, but i went with nana and dad and zac to the mall to the make-a-bear place. My aunt jana got me that for my birthday and i made a puppy border collie and picked a green dress for her and called her Tinkerbell. i have slept with her every night since. I also received my present from grandma and jiddo in the mail - i love getting packages now! I opened it right away, because mom wasn't there to make me wait. hee hee.

Then friday we did some things to get ready for my birthday party, but basically rested, because saturday was a huge day! Saturday we decorated in the morning, and then everyone came over and had lasagna and pizza. then they all sang happy birthday and we had cake and icecream. i am getting really good at blowing candles out! Then we had a pull-string pinata that didn't work - mom ended up having to pull it open to get all the candy. but it was lots of fun. what a day.

Nana is here for one more night - she leaves tomorrow, and i am going to be sad - i have slept with her everynight and i only want her to help me out of my car seat. Mom and dad have been replaced - i don't have to share her with ANYone!

That is all for now, enjoy the pictures!

Halloween

Well, monday we had a great time trick or treating around tia and sammer's neighborhood. I was SO excited... mom and dad could barely contain me. I was a kitty cat and zac was a pumpkin. Even zac got in on it - he would go up to the bowl of candy and take one or two and put it in his pumpkin. We all had a great time.

Last friday i went in for my three year check up - i am 33 lbs (70-75%) and 37 inches (50%) tall. And everything else is just great - the greatest was that i didn't need any shots. yay! The day before zac fell all the way down the stairs - so mom spent part of my check up time talking to the doc about zac (he is fine).

Yesterday Erik and Heidi went out and they left Anika (3 months) at our house for a few hours. I was SO excited, i could barely keep my hands off of her - i called her my little sister. Mom realizes now, very concretely, the advantage of having had zac when i had no interest in babies. That made her feel better about this past difficult year.

Dad has made huge steps in getting the deck done. It is beautiful. Just a few more rails and balusters, and then the steps to finish. yay!

talk to you later.....

Tomorrow, mom and dad will celebrate their 7th wedding anniversary (plus two and a half years of dating) - way to go! They went out friday to celebrate - left zac and me with tia, sammer, aunt lara and uncle raja for a few hours. we had tons of fun... they said they did too, but wanted to get back to us after only 4 hours. Crazy how mom thinks this was their hardest year - having a second child (who was colicky for 6 months) before i was even two - and then they can't be away from the things that made this their hardest year. Mom said that is how she knows she loves us to the end of time. anyway....

We have not done alot in the three weeks i haven't updated this thing (mom hasn't been getting alot of sleep again and so she hasn't been motivated to help me). We went to a fun pumpkin patch and picked pumpkins and rode on a hay ride with horses. We got our flu shots and then mom and i walked all the way home - about a mile. Mom was really impressed at my strength. I am still in gymnastics for an hour a week and in prepreschool for an hour a week. I went to the zoo with a girl from my class and our moms. That day i had the biggest temper tantrum my mom has ever seen from me. I really did not want to leave the zoo - all the other kids were staying, but mom said since i wake up two hours earlier than any other kid i don't have the stamina to stay up until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Mom felt bad because she waited too long (1pm) to leave the zoo and that contributed to the tantrum. She had to hold me while i was screaming to calm me down long enough to put me in my car seat - i was sound asleep about 3 minutes into the drive home.

Zac is walking really well - running now a little. He caught on quick. Now he is also signing (to comunicate) with mom and dad as well as saying a few words. He definately says "boobie" (to nurse) and wawa" (for water). I guess he has the essentials down. He babbles on and on - we all just pretend to understand what he is saying.

So here are some more pictures ....enjoy. Talk to you soon.
