Wow, it has been almost a month since the last entry! What a great december we had. We stayed busy, even with the snow. It has been so much more manageable than last year, when there were those crazy blizzards every couple weeks. We have had snow, but lots of nice days too.
Earlier in December we got to see the Festival of Lights in louisville, went to see santa and had a sleepover with my cousin Tia. We both had our school parties on the last day of school on the 14th, and then I got to spend the night at Tia's house while zac had mom and dad to himself.
With school out, we have been playing in the snow, sledding a few times, and we went skiing for the first time ever. That was a challenge for mom and dad - I did great, but could only go one speed - FAST. Dad was cracking up laughing watching mom run down the mountain after me, yelling "fall over izzie, fall OVER to the SIDE!". I would stand on my skiis for a little, and then get going too fast to stand up so then i would sit on the back of the skiis and use them as sled and go down FAST. It was fun. Zac had a harder time- he was good at controlling himself down the hill, but got exhausted after two runs - ended up having a full on tantrum at the top of the hill, and all mom and dad could do was watch him flip out. It is funny now.
We celebrated the winter solstice, santa came and left presents for us that morning, and then that night we got to see the zoolights (the zoo puts up a ton of holiday lights and we go there at night) - pretty appropriate to celebrate light on the darkest day of the year! Now the days get longer!!!
The next days we had dinner at grandma's - her special fondue dinner. Mom and dad love it, but mom commented that it just isn't quite the same leisurely dinner they used to enjoy before children, with all the work she has to do to feed us as well as herself. We spent christmas eve at our friends house, making a great potluck dinner, and then christmas day was mellow - had planned to go for a hike, but it snowed alot - so we hung around the house, took a nap all together, and then went over to mom's brother riyan's house for a big family dinner and more cousin time.
It was a great holiday week - mom and dad had almost a whole week off together, and it was so fun!!! Mom slacked with the camera, so not a ton of pictures of this time....

Back from Phoenix
Last week we made it back from phoenix, it took us two long days. We had a good time, though. Really good family time, hanging out with mom and dad. We stayed in a hotel along the way, somewhere near the four corners area - hotels are so fun for us kids!!!
We had a great time in phoenix, i love all my cousins there. Mom thinks it is cool how comfortable we are with them, even though we don't see them alot.
Dad got his motorcycle the sunday we left. Mom and dad and pop bought an 8 foot trailer the day before, and then we went to pappy's on sunday and loaded up his big bike - so big it barely fit on the trailer. It is a BIG bike. Dad is so happy! Pictures up soon!
We drove all the way home pulling the bike, with the dogs and us and mom and dad, and there were no incidents - smooth sailing, good weather, and mom and dad were happy about that.
Since we've been home, we have swung right back in to the groove of things - babysitting, school, mom and dad working. We put up our christmas tree, and zac and i really helped this year. All mom had to say was to not put more than one ornament on each branch, and after that we did great. I am so excited this year about christmas. Every day i tell my mom something else that i want. Zac isn't quite as thrilled as i am, i think he doesn't get it yet, or maybe mom and dad have succeeded in drilling in to him that the presents aren't that important. That didn't work with me.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Well, we made it to phoenix in 14.5 hours tuesday night. Dad drove most of the way, but mom had to help out around 4am till we stopped for breakfast around 7am. Dad got a ticket for speeding in New Mexico - mom couldn't believe it - dada usually drives so slow it makes mom crazy - she was laughing at the irony, thinking it should have been her....
I did great on the trip, slept pretty well, was in a good mood. Zac, on the other hand, screamed everytime he woke up (every two hours), tricking mom and dad to stop by saying he had to pee. It was a little rough driving through the night, but mom and dad figure it is rough no matter what time you drive. We got in to phoenix and hung out and then mom, dad and izaac took naps while i hung out with aunt jana. We slept well last night and had a great thanksgiving today at aunt jana's.

Growing Up!
Last wednesday i had my 5 year old doctor's visit. I weigh 44.1 lbs (76%) and am 43 inches tall (62%). I got 3 shots, so that i don't get any diseases and stay healthy. The doctor says i am growing up great! ALL of us went to the visit - mom, dad, me, izaac, ariadnee and samarah - what a crowd!!!
Today i lost my first tooth - it has been hanging there for a couple weeks, dad has tried to pull on it here and there, but this morning i let mom try and she pulled it out FAST - i said "OW that hurts!" and started to cry, but then stopped as soon as i saw my tooth. It is so little. Really exciting!
Tomorrow mom is working an extra day at work, and then when she gets home we are leaving for phoenix to see nana and pop and all my aunts and uncles. I am SO excited! I have been packed for 5 days already, mom and dad need to pack today!

My 5th Birthday!!!
Yesterday I turned 5!!!! I was so excited to get presents and to have my birthday party. I had a princess party with friends from school, old friends from other places and my cousins. All in all there were 10 princesses, and Kaden, my neighbor friend, and then some little brothers, about 14 kids in all! It was so much fun, and then two of my cousins got to spend the night. It was totally wonderful!

Halloween
We had a great halloween - i was princess jasmine, and izaac was a dinosaur. He is really in to dinosaurs right now. We has halloween parties at school during the day, and then went over to cousin tia and sammers house for dinner and then tore around their neighborhood for trickortreating. The grown ups had a hard time keeping us together! It was great.
Samarah is 1, Jiddo is 70!!!
We have been having fun this fall, the whether has been great, in general. Only had the heat on a couple days, and then in the morning a few additional days. So lots of days at the park, and i am getting good at the monkey bars. We were at a different park one day, with really high (8 or 10 feet) monkey bars, and i was trying to flip over and get my legs up on them and lost my grip - was falling head first. Mom was close, but happened to be looking at izaac when i started to fall, but i cried out and she turned and moved so fast she caught me in mid fall. Saved us a trip to the ER, for real. Good job being a mom, mom!
Grandma and jiddo visited for a couple days, stayed to celebrate samarah's 1st birthday, and while they were here, the whole family went out to celebrate jiddo's 70th birthday!
Mom and dad went to our friends (and neighbors) wedding while we went to spend the night at our cousins tia and sammer's house. It was so fun!

Fall Activities
We have been hanging out - Ariadnee and Samarah have been sick for the last 10 days, so we did some activities that are more difficult with 4 kids - like decorating for halloween and going to the pumpkin field to pick pumpkins. We are having fun riding bikes, the weather is beautiful, and we are spending as much time outside as we can. I am doing better with school, of course then one day mom was the last one to pick me up and i was so upset - she kept saying she wasn't late, just the last one, and i still was sobbing. Izaac is now saying he "doesn't like his teachers" but mom just ignores him - he is so fine when he gets to school. It is definately hard for us to go to school at different times, knowing that the other is going to be staying with mom (and possibly having lots of fun!!!)
