Zac's 2 year stats

Today zac went to his 2 year check up. Everything is good. He weighs in at 25.6 lbs (20%) and is 32.75 inches tall (15%). Our pediatrician, who mama loves, says he is destined to be a little guy - mom was thrilled - all the better to climb the hills on his bike in the Tour de France 2026! ;)
talk to you later!

Happy Birthday Izaac!!!!!

Izaac is two years old today. Ariadnee was over, cause it is monday and mama takes care of all of us on mondays. We went to the grocery store this morning, got food and a cake for izaac. I picked the cake, but he wanted the ladybugs off a huge cake, so mama asked if they had any for the small cake, and they gave her some to put on the cake i picked out.
We had a fun day, played outside alot, the sky was cloudy, mama worked on the yard. we had a sprinkler system put in while mama, papa and zac were in michigan, and now mama is working on the yard. We have a corner that used to be a flower garden but now had 3 years of weeds growing - actually killed one of the rose bushes- that mama has pulled and totally cleaned up. She bought some dirt to add to the garden - she says the dirt that is there is too heavy and needs lighter dirt. whatever... So that is about all she has left to do in that corner before she plants some bushes and flowers, which she says can wait till the fall. There is also another small flower garden that she needs to clean and prepare for "bulbs" and she is going to try and move some rosebushes from the middle of the yard to this flower garden. She says she doesn't expect the roses to transfer, but she has to try. Then she is going to take out some small strips of garden that run right along the house and put in gravel - supposedly there isn't supposed to be a ton of water (like for flowers) right up against the house. And she likes the idea of low maintenance.
This eve we had dinner and then sang izaac happy birthday - just us and ariadnee and aunt anjee. It was nice. Izaac is so good at waiting and then blowing out his candles. He is totally aware that it is HIS birthday (even without presents!).
Mom went on her monday mtn bike ride last monday - skipped today because of zac's bday, and it was raining. She had a great time last week. Dada has been on 3 or 4 rides this week, other than to work and back. He is really happy right now!
Later.....

2 Months!

Well, mom and i last updated our blog 2 months ago. Lots has happened, so this might be a big entry.....

Not much happened the rest of June - mom and dad spent alot of time working on the yard and started painting the inside of the house.

July brought the 4th of july, which we spent at cousin ariadnee's house. Mom worked so she met us there after work, and then dad had to go to work, but we got to hang out with our cousins. The following weekend we went camping at lake granby, and like last summer, tia, sammer, bridger, riley and all their parents were there too. This year noni and papa (they are aunt lara's mom and dad) came too. We had so much fun, we just love camping, and mom and dad love it too.

July also brought a visit from bekah - she stayed with us for about 9-10 days and then stayed with aunt nada, then aunt lara. I loved having her here, and mom really appreciated having an extra pair of eyes and hands. That same week tia, ariadnee and i did kitty kat kamp - a gymnastics camp that lasted 4 hours for 3 days. That was the longest i had ever been away to a class type setting. Mama says i am getting so ready for preschool. We also heard that i got into the preschool for the fall (i was on a short waiting list), and now i am doing so much stuff by myself. Mom can't believe that just the mention of going to preschool has motivated me to be more independent. I am putting my own shoes on, my own clothes, i am wiping myself, and reading my letters and numbers. I am going to be ready for preschool.

Sadly, july also brought a war to my mama's country, Lebanon. This is a huge reason why she hasn't helped my blog - she has been spending all her computer time reading and listening to war stuff. Mama is so sad because of the war. She is so angry too, but the thoughts of the killings of innocent people (children!) and the destruction of the infrastructure of lebanon makes her really really sad. She is also very angry at our government and how they are handling EVERYTHING, and at the popular media for distorting and not reporting the real news and for creating biases against the people in lebanon. It is a constant dark cloud over our house right now, and has caused mom and dad to mentally weed out the superficial things in life and has brought into focus what is really important.

As August arrived, mom and dad started making plans to go to their friend jon's wedding in michigan. Nana arrived on the 10th, and then mom, dad and izaac left on the 12th by airplane, leaving me alone with nana. I was so excited to have her all to myself!!! Pop arrived that evening too, but i had already slept with nana for two nights, so that was ok with me. I had so much fun that mom and dad would call, and i didn't even want to talk to them. Mom said they had fun in michigan - they went to traverse city and stayed with their friends ty, johanna and carter (he is 3 months older than izaac). They has a hard time getting there - the plane was delayed, which was going to make them miss their connecting flight, and they were going to miss the wedding. So they flew in to detroit, stayed in the hotel the airline provided, got up early the next morning and instead of waiting for the connecting flight (which would have brought them in to traverse city half way through the wedding 'reception', rented a car and drove to traverse city. The wedding was a tiny wedding at an overlook point over lake michigan, and if ty had to come and pick them up from the airport, a significant part of the wedding guests wouldn't have been there. They drove in at about 11:15, luckily the 11:00 wedding was late and they made it! it was a beautiful wedding and mom and dad were happy for jon and thought sarah was great (they had never met her). Mom was so impressed with how well izaac traveled - in the airplane, in the hotel, in the car....they had it easy with just one kid!
After the wedding, they stayed with ty, johanna and carter for a few days, went on some bike rides, went to the beach, and visited with jon and sarah. They had a great time!

After getting back on Wed, mom jumped right in to action to get ready for zac's birthday party - which was friday evening. HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZAAC (really it is the 28th, but mom and dad work that weekend and nana and pop were in town, so we celebrated early). It was so fun and izaac really knew it was for him! He was even able to blow out his #2 candle!
Yesterday, mom did the muddybuddy race again. This year her freind rene had to back out due to an injury, so aunt anne took her place. We went and watched and played at the beach while mom got really muddy. We all had fun!

So NOW we are up to date again. Enjoy the pics!
