Great day hiking
We had a great day today - hung out at home this morning, mom cleaned up the house, and then we went on a nice little hike with our friends, Sadie and Cooper, who are mine and izaac's ages, and their parents. Once again, we are out like a light.
Third Tooth out!
Well, I lost my third tooth last night while i was brushing my teeth. I just went to the dentist on thursday and had my teeth cleaned so it was nice and clean for the tooth fairy.
We have had a busy week. My grandma was in town helping my aunt Nada with her baby since she had shoulder surgery and couldn't lift him for a few days. So we skipped school on monday and visited and again we visited on thursday and then mom had a scholarship interview on friday and mom left us with grandma and aunt nada again. On monday and tuesday we worked on our above ground garden, and then yesterday mom finished it off - it is almost ready for some vegetables - we just have to wait until mid may to plant so they don't freeze.
Yesterday we had breakfast at grandma's with all our cousins and aunts and uncles - it was so fun, we hadn't seen anybody (except aunt nada and cousin dante) for a while and had missed everybody. Then dinner was with our friends sadie and cooper - and their parents - mom and dad's friends - kate and steve. They have one of those huge trampolines and we bounced for hours - which made us fall asleep in an instant last night! Good times!

Back to school
We started school again last week after two weeks off - it was pretty easy to get back in to the swing of school. Then dad finished his work week and mom started her 4 days in a row, and we just had 3 days off all together. We have had some chilly days, but mostly good weather. Yesterday was almost 80degrees and today it is snowing. gotta love spring in colorado. We got most of our raised garden built over the last three days, just need to finish up a little when the snow melts - we'll get some pictures up too, since we got our new camera.
Dad starts his work week tonight, so mom has a week left before she goes back to work. She handled the 4 12hour shifts in a row just beautifully. The new schedule is working well.

NO camera
well, the camera is history, no more, drowned in the toilet water at eldora ski lodge. Mom says she would die too if she was immersed in toilet water. even clean toilet water. So this blog is going to be boring with only writing for awhile, until a new camera is purchased.
Yesterday marked a big day for mom. She has, for the last 3 months, been working on completing her application for her masters, an application for a scholarship, a nurse recognition information packet and getting our taxes together, and yesterday she turned in the last of all of it. So wish her luck on getting into school, and getting money to pay for it!
It was cold the last couple days, we didn't do much yesterday, tried to ride bikes but froze. Today we got out more, still cold, and we are acting up. Dad is giving zac a time out as we write, and I have been rebelling against mom all day. Spring is here, but warm weather would be appreciated. We did plan our garden, we hope it warms up enough to build it in time to plant stuff in it. We are baking our own bread and hope to be growing some of our own food this summer.

Springbreak
We've been on spring break for a week now! The first weekend (easter wkend for all you religious folks) mom and dad were working, so we were at our neighbor's Krista, Rud, Kaden and the other 4 kids....Becky officially babysat us on saturday, but then we hung out with them on sunday too. We've been back to the pool, went to the zoo on wednesday, rode bikes to the park while mom runs, and yesterday we all went skiing, and today dad and i went skiing. We had a great day yesterday, my cousins tia, sammer, riley and bridger were all there, and i am getting the hang of the green slopes, so i skied with tia. The bigger kids went with other grownups. Izaac was with mom in the morning and had a huge melt down before he even made it to the ski lift, so mom took him back inside and fed him a ton of eggs and a pb sandwich and milk. Mom thinks the protein must have helped, cause he hung out with everyone for lunch, and then was happy to go up and ski with dad. Dad thinks is was just that he didn't want to ski with mom. Mom was just happy they didn't waste almost 75bucks, so she didn't argue.
Mom dropped the camera in the the toilet at the ski lodge, so we are waiting for it to dry out completely to see if it still works. (it fell into a "clean" toilet, yuck!!!) aunty lara had a great laugh.

Zac rides the motorcycle
Well, izaac rode the motorcycle with dad for the first time yesterday - up to now he has been too scared, especially of the noise. He rode the whole way with his hands over his ears, but he came running into the house crazy excited after he got back. I think he likes it as much as me! Especially going fast.
We spent yesterday at the indoor pool, spring whether is a tease - sunny by sooo windy it is cold and not fun to play at park - we tried! No pics, mom was on her own with us, and forgot the camera.

Springtime!!!!!!
We made it!!! We made it through another winter!
We have had a change of schedule - we are no longer babysitting my cousins ariadnee and samarah, and they are no longer babysitting us. So now mom and dad alternate work days so that they watch us 100% of the time. So we get to spend the afternoons when dad wakes up all together, and when mom is working dad does fun stuff with us and when dad is working/sleeping mom does fun stuff with us. They say it is alot easier to do fun outings with two kids versus four kids. The downside is that there are no more weekends where we are all together, so all the races dad had planned to do this year are no longer possible, unless we go to a babysitter, which isn't going to happen.
So we have been riding bikes almost every day - I rode 6 miles the other day to drop zac off at school and come back, while mom ran with me, we both barely made it home.... but i am really good at riding. Zac has lost his fear of speed, so he is enjoying the bike more, slowly getting more confident. We are also going to the indoor pool - I can go down the huge slide by myself, and fling myself off the rope swing just perfectly.
We are still in school, rode to school in the chariot yesterday, we can do that now since we don't have 4 kids to juggle. It was crazy windy, mom and dad almost came to a standstill on their bikes going downhill. It helps up feel better to use more leg power than fossil fuel power.
Mom and dad got a new computer - a laptop that stays up on the main floor, and mom has downloaded all the stuff she needs to get pictures up, so now maybe we'll tend to the blog more frequently.

Izaac is biking too!
Well, one week after I picked up biking on two wheels, Izaac picks it up too! He isn't as good as me on my bike, but he is balancing great and working on pedaling. His confidence is getting better, at least he isn't riding around the culdesac screaming "you're not holding me, i'm gonna fall, hold me...." anymore.

Biking!!!!
Ok, I know i haven't put any pictures on for a while, but i have big news.
Monday I rode my bike successfully without training wheels for the first time, and i really got it! Then on tuesday, while mom was at work, i rode all the way to the park while dad jogged with izaac in the chariot, and he couldn't keep up!!!
I have done a lot of grown up things lately - dad kept me waiting for lunch on tuesday, so by the time he came in to the kitchen, I was already almost done making pb sandwiches for zac and me. And I am clipping my own fingernails and toenails, and i am helping mom with chores, like collecting the garbage on garbage day.
Izaac is drawing the letter A! He is still learning to count and is slowly learning the letters, but he did write the letter A.

Two Months!!!
wow!
almost two months have passed since the last blog entry.
The rest of january was fairly uneventful - we are still going to school three times a week, and the good news is that izaac has turned the corner away from the screaming banshee when mom drops him off to the happy kid at school. Mom is SO relieved, she had a hard time with his screaming at school, and making him go - turns out he was just putting on a show. I started piano lessons in january, and i am loving it! I just started learning the white keys this last week, and can play maryhadalittlelamb, and oldmacdonald! I had a speech therapy appointment, because the dentist said i was tongue thrusting and the quick screen with thekaiser speech therapist said i had a "lateral lisp". The full on speech therapist said i had a slight forward lisp, but nothing too worrisome - mom and dad were thrilled, and realized how much they didn't want to have a kid that needed special attention.
In February, our cousin Dante turned 1 and our cousin Ariadnee turned 5. happy birthday to them both. We also made a quick trip to arizona to visit nana, pop, pappy and aunts and uncles as well as grandma and jiddo in tucson. We picked up some furniture and got a new laptop computer while in phx - hauled everything up to colrado with our trailer that we bought when we had to bring dad's motorcycle up. that trailer has already come in handy!
The last couple days have warmed up - it has been a cold winter - high energy bills, but at least better than last winter's blizzards, and now the days are warming. We got out on our bikes (striders) yesterday - I am getting so good at balancing and izaac is slowly getting it too. This spring and summer will be the summer of bikes!

Back to School
Yesterday zac and i started back at school. Zac screamed bloody murder, mom had to run out of the room, and when she peeked in on him 5 mins later he was just fine. Drives mom crazy to havve such a drama queen kid. I was sad to leave mom too, but did just fine. One of the dad's of the kids in my class told mom she just is too nurtering - his kids can't wait to get out of the house to go to school. Sort of made mom feel better.
Well, we had a great time skiing last friday. I was so excited to ski with my cousin, and dad got on his skiis and we went in the morning on the bunny hill, then took a break for lunch and me dad and my cousin tia and her mom went out again to bigger slopes and we did great! Mom and izaac and mom's brother and my cousin sammer hung out in my cousin's van watching tv after lunch - but zac did pretty good that morning on the bunny slope. We forgot the camera, again, so you are just going to have to take my word for it.
I promise I'll get some pictures up soon from the last couple weeks......
