Naps and night time routines

Since school started, our nap and nighttime routine has been all screwey. Naps are happening later and later, since i don't get out of school till 1215 and then have to have lunch and wind down. Mom likes us to nap by 2pm, so that we wake by 4pm and are still able to go to bed about 8pm. On this day, we didn't take a nap until 330pm, and then didn't go to sleep at night til 10!!! mom was going crazy, and finally shut us in our room and wouldn't let go of the door handle until she didn't hear us moving anymore. Then mom and dad checked on us 15 minutes later and found us asleep on the bean bag together. They thought it was pretty cute and fell in love with us again.....

Zac is still potty training

Our weather is still nice - mom has been riding us in the chariot to school, but not to gymnastics (she thinks that is just too hard!). We are still playing outside alot, and as you can see, we had to bring the potty chair out for zac so that he wouldn't feel left out while sitting on the potty. He is doing pretty good - pees in the potty about a third of the time, and sometimes he even poops in the potty. Dad is trying to teach him to stand and pee. Mom wishes he would just learn sitting down.

The Georgetown train

Today we went to Georgetown - about 45 minutes west of us - to ride the train with our neighbors Dillon and Nataliya and their mom Beth, but they had sold out of tickets. So instead we watched the train leave the stationa and played in the dirt and among the aspen that were changing colors. Then we went into the cute town of Georgetown and had lunch. We had lots of fun, and mom promised that we would come back another day to actually ride the train.

School days; Camping in Moab

Well, I started preschool on sept 6th - and zac started "wee toddler" (the one hour/week class that i was taking up until the summer). I LOVE it!! i have been so excited to go each day that mom was having a hard time getting me to cooperate in the morning with getting dressed, eating breakfast and brushing my hair. We finally had a big fight -and then a big talk- on monday, and tues, wed and today have been much better. I have already played hooky - last friday i skipped school so that we could leave early for moab for camping and biking. We had a great weekend! Mom was happy to get out one more time before winter sets in - it is definately fall now, leaves changing, cool weather. My pappy and his girlfriend visited sunday and monday - probably another reason i was so worked up and uncooperative in the mornings. They left early tuesday.
School is great! I go on mondays, wednesdays and fridays for 2 hours. And zac has his one hour class on wed, just before my class. All these classes are at the westminster rec center, and mom and dad have been taking us in the chariot almost every day. On mondays mom drives, cause after she drops me off, she has to go to boulder and pick up ariadnee from her preschool and then drive back and pick me up. Then on tuesdays zac and i have gymnastics at the broomfield rec center - which is a litte farther, but they have been taking us in the chariot to those classes too! We had to get a new chariot - our old one ripped on a seam on the floor, where i could stick my foot through to the ground. REI (the store) was amazing - just took one look at it and took it away and gave us a new one! Mom was expecting at the very least we would be out of a chariot for a few weeks while they repaired our old one. It was a nice surprise to walk in with the damaged one and walk out with a new one. So we have already broken in the new one with food and spilled drinks and lots of rides.
talk to you later......

Labor Day at the Zoo

We have had a good few days. Mama went to aunt anjee's baby shower on saturday. We are expecting a new cousin by the middle of october.
Sunday we hung out, rode bikes in the culdesac. I am trying to teach zac to ride, but he just sits on his bike. So i started pushing him and he started screaming and crying. Mom tells me that he needs to learn on his own time, even though i can tell she is amazed that i knew how to propel a bike when i was his age. She gets more and more impressed with my abilities the more she sees other kids learning to do physical stuff.
Today we went to the zoo, and had so much fun. A real family day. And mom got a bike ride in before we left and dad went for a ride after naps this afternoon, while we played with mom in the yard. Did i mention that we had a new sprinkler system put in our front and back yard? Well, there is a ton of mud to play with now!
Tomorrow is the beginning the "fall semester" - tomorrow zac and i start gymnastics, then on wed i start preschool (Tiny Tots-M/W/F for 2hours/day) and zac starts wee toddlers (1 hour/week - wed only) and then in a few weeks we both start swim class on sat (just 25mins). But this schedule lasts all the way through december. Man are we going to be busy. I am definately happier when we are busy....
talk to you soon
