Grandma babysits, crazy sleep cycles

Mom and Dad both worked this weekend and Grandma babysat because she was here and Aunty Anjee and Uncle Riyan and Ariadnee were still on vacation. I had so much fun with Grandma. No pictures to show for it, though. Big news is I stayed dry for two out of the last three nights without a diaper. Mom has resorted to letting me fall asleep in her arms in the beanbag and then transfer me to bed, because I have just flat out refused to go to bed by myself anymore. This morning (as with every morning) Zac woke up to nurse at 4:30, but this time I woke up too and followed mommy in to her bed with zac. After mommy was done nursing zac she put him back in his crib, but i was already asleep in her bed, so she just left me there and went back to sleep herself until 5:15 when she had to get up for work. she showered and got ready for work while i slept in her bed - i am getting to spend more time sleeping in mommy's bed than she is. Mommy complains about my difficult sleeping patterns right now, but she actually likes cuddling with us kids.

talk to you later.

Visit to Children's Museum; Grandma visits

Last Friday we went to the children's museum with the neighbors Krista and her 3-year-old Kaden. It was fun - getting in to a real fire engine and then crawling aroung a huge "ant hill". Kaden is more fun to play with than Zac, and he listens to me when i tell him what to do. We also painted and while Kaden played basketball i used the microphone that was at the sidelines for commenting to listen to my voice over the loud speaker. That was cool.

Over the weekend - the first weekend we have been home that mom and dad weren't working - we relaxed, played in the backyard, learned to climb trees, and dad worked on the deck - the everlasting project, and did other chores. The deck is getting even closer to being done than before, actually dad was just being a perfectionist and replacing some boards that weren't layed right. Dad also replaced the brakes in the pickup - the warning light had been on for months. He said they were so bad that we were actually lucky nothing has happened.

Sunday we went to the hospital where daddy works to see the newest baby of our family - baby Anika was born early sun morning to Erik and Heidi Fedor. Erik is aunty Lara's brother, and Anika is their first baby.

Grandma arrived from Tucson on Sunday night and she came over Monday morning. I was so excited to see her, especially because Ariadnee is gone this week on vacation in mexico and I miss her. Grandma watched us for a couple hours while mom and dad went to look at wood for the deck railings, and then we went to dinner at Sweet tomatoes. I ate so well, and zac sat in his highchair through his whole meal, as long as mommy kept putting peas in front of him.

Tuesday mom worked, but me and daddy and grandma went on a hike outside boulder. we picked wild grape vine leaves and grandma is planning to make stuffed grape leaves for zac's first birthday party. mom and dad love grandma's stuffed grape leaves.

Wednesday we were going to go to the fabric store so mom could pick fabric for grandma to make curtains for mommy and daddy's bedroom, but zac took a three and a half hour nap and i refused to take a nap and was ballistic. i finally took a nap around 3 and didn't get up until after 5, so of course i didn't want to go to bed at bedtime. i think i finally fell asleep around 9 or 9:30, after four diaper changes. Did you know that a good excuse to keep getting out of bed is to poop in your diaper after each time mommy changes it? i've been using that technique alot lately, mom is getting pretty sick of it. I also finally fall asleep on the floor alot lately - in my room, or on the landing upstairs. So mommy has stopped letting me use a pullup for my naps - which i was cool with, and last night she said i don't get to use a pullup at night either. I stayed dry all night, and got up in the morning and used the potty that is in my room - that is where mommy found me sitting when she came in to my room. she was REALLY happy.

Yesterday Grandma babysat while mommy and daddy had their dental appointments - their first in three years. I get to go again on monday to get my cavities filled. Mommy and daddy didn't have any cavities, but i got three or four in less than three years - what's up with that?

Talk to you later. Oh, thanks to all of you who have commented - i love it!

Trip to th Dentist. yuck.

Yay, the computer is working again, so the pictures from our second camping trip with all the family are up...

So mom took me to the dentist about a week ago, because she has been noticing my two front teeth have been getting grey. This dentist was not a kid's dentist and she said mom needed to take me to a kids dentist because she thought i was loosing my front teeth and i was going to need a baby root canal. mom was worried and felt bad because when i fell and hit my teeth on the bathtub when i was about 14 months old (yes, a LONG time ago), she never took me to the dentist. so off we went to the kids dentist who gave us the good news that my front teeth are fine but need to be watched, and the bad news that i have three cavities that have to be filled. so we are now on a twice a day regime of mama or daddy brushing my teeth, instead of me getting to suck and chew on a toothbrush with toothpaste on it.

Izaac is balancing on his own two feet for up to 3 seconds! he just lets go of what he is holding on to and just stands! Dad is really encouraging him, but mom is more interested in him learning to go backwards down the stairs - which he is actually doing really well.

Lots of exciting news...

First of all, our computer monitor is on the fritz and we can't post pictures..... bummer.
Almost three weeks from the last entry and lots has happened.

My second cousin Bekah was with us until this past monday, when she went home to Tucson, but while she was here i got really good at swimming - i get in the baby pool, put my head in the water and "swim" across holding my breath the whole time. Mommy is thrilled, especially because now she feels like she can play harder with me in the pool - we were doing bucking bronco the other day!

We went camping again (i'll post those pictures soon) with lots of family - tia and sammer and their mom and dad, bridger and riley and their mom and dad and bekah. it was lots of fun. mom put me in the backpack and climbed this huge mountain - her legs were shaking by the time we got back to the bottom, but she was excited for a good workout. i loved camping, i was asking to go again on the drive home. mom and dad are really happy too, since they love to camp. Izaac had fun too, doesn't care a thing about crawling aroung in the dirt. Nobody naps very well, though - mom had to take me in the car so i would nap in the car seat.

I am getting more comfortable pooping in the potty chair and mom and dad are excited. They are getting rid of my pull up at nap time - i was able to hold my pee all morning and then pee in my nap time diaper - and put a pad on my bed, so now i have to go in the potty. That's ok, i am getting to like it better. Izaac still doesn't have any more teeth - just the two bottom ones, and is still crawling around - he did balance for a second yesterday on his feet, but he is not interested in walking. He's crazy - by his age i was walking everywhere - in the grass, across the bed, anywhere. And i had eight teeth by the time i was his age... what's up with that? He is getting the hang of signing, his first sign was 'dog' so mom decided to do a dog theme for his first birthday.

So mom and dad bought some parts to the chariot - a jogging wheel, so now mom can take both zac and i on her runs - we did that the other day and mom felt good enough to go out longer and we made it to a park to play. mom said she felt like she could be gone longer because she wasn't depending on someone else to watch us. It was great all around because i had fun, zac had fun and mom had fun.

talk to you later, hopefully the computer will be up soon.
